Wordpress or blogger

Both the blogging platforms are sounds good to me..
Wordpress is very flexible.. but that will need hosting..
Blogger is free from all hosting and other problems... but its not as flexible as wordpress...


What is your Opinion ??

(I m talking about wordpress.org selfhosted.. not dot com)

 

I using blogspot because it easy to get approved by adsense previously.
If you are starting blog now, i suggest to use wordpress, as you mention - more flexible

 

Self hosted wordpress for the extra choice and control over it, blogger blogs can be deleted easily.

You could work for 5 years on a blogger blog then they could delete it if they want to.

You can backup a self hosted blog properly.

 

Both of them are good to start with, but a lot more customization can be done with Wordpress.

 

You can do a lot more with wordpress in terms of SEO, A lot of people who switch from blogger to wordpress tend to get more traffic.

 

Wordpress. org is the best choose. I think it is the most customizable CMS from internet. With a little research you can build almost every type of website you want.

Blogger is all auto-managed, which is a big plus IMO, you can go on web vacation for a year & not worry about it.

Wordpress, not so much. You need to remember to make backups constantly & watch out for security updates asap whenever they happen. Can be a huge pain if you have a lot of wordpress blogs. However, all the customizing ability is a huge plus over blogger

 

Ha ha...every time I come to this place I see this question "wordpress or blogger...??"

IMO both are good.
try both.....see for yourself which is good.

People those who use wordpress say wordpress is good
and the other one say blogger!!

If you are more serious in to blogging stuff, avoid free hosts. TRY wordpress.org

 

1)Free wordpress dont allow adsense.
Free blogger allows you to monetize from Adsense.
2) Self hosted wordpress is better than blogger with tons of choices and flexibility. Blogger is good if you are just started blogging because of its simplicity.
3)In long run wordpress is much better choice than blogger. Mostly all top pro bloggers use wordpress.

I prefer wordpress over blogger and after using self hosted wordpress for some time, I even started feeling that wordpress is much easier to use, compared to blogger. Just use wordpress and you will find it addictive with so many plugins and themes options.

 

This is the nth time I read this question here at DP, but it's still fine to join the conversion.

Anyway, using any platform that you can make money from depends on what you can do and your goal. While most bloggers prefer WP, we must not forget that Blogger is owned by Google. Furthermore, you don't need to be a techie guy to manage it. On the other hand, WP looks more professional to eyes of the readers and you cannot sell a blogspot blog...

But then, I think one can choose what he wants and make the most of it.

 

blogspot is very easy to use and maybe well suited for a newbie, but wordpress has a lot more to offer and is probably more suited to someone who has some experience with blogging platforms.

 

self hosted wordpress is the best. It is very flexible and has all features we need .

 

WordPress is better, no dough on that.

 

Wordpress is way better than blogger.

 

It depends on are you blogging for money/ready to invest on hosting etc ??
