Offering such cheap price degrades the value of professionalism in this industry, I dont think you are pro in this case

I don’t think it was proper the way Alvin offered to work for free among the small group of people bidding for the job but if Alvin politely PMed the individual that wanted the CMS installed and offered his help then that would be acceptable. Although Alvin, you should have accepted a payment and maybe taught the individual how to do it them selves. Then you get paid as a tutor. Teach a man to fish………….

Just a thought anyway.

Looking at your post, it's you who actually got the hard feelings, and i'm not into the 1st one to send a reply to "free giveaway", I value the time / effort they spent on the work, at least some donation will do it.

You are 100% full of fat inside your brain, the person teach you for FREE, then you should manipulate it for money, we need money to spend, we are not living in heaven where it's all comes for FREE.

Alvin, I think it is good that you want to help people but I think people are a little upset because you disrupted a possible sale. The channels in which you offered your free services are not in agreement with general business courtesy/etiquette.

You have to also remember that installing some of these scripts is cake for people that do this stuff as a hobby/job but people that just want a site for there content, it’s like brain surgery.

Your payment is usually %10 for tinkering, %90 for knowing where to tinker. This thinking follows many jobs, such as mechanics, electricians, marketers, and other job titles.
