I read another thread about google cache every 2 minutes his website because he daily updates his content... MY question is, what if a blog created with wordpress has content that is static and not being updated daily, does google loves it too????

    Yep, why not :)
Google will love everything that is good optimized for it.
I'm using wordpress for some of my sites with more "static content" because of it's flexibility.

Can you imagine web hosting solution for the having google revisit your web site every 2 minutes? I think that will kiil your server and I believe that is what you do not need at all.

Often while searching for something I get to see wordpress blogs that have not been updated for a long time.At other times there's just one post in the entire blog.
Yes then it could be that optimised things get recognised by Google.

It really depends on your blog niche, if it's history related then what fresh content that could be added to your website?

However, IMHO well optimized content plays a big part.. but it have been always about backlinks ;)

Google will love your site as long as the content is original . Only thing being that if you don't update your site frequently Google will take some time to index your new post.

The problem with blogs that are updated often is the home page content changes, and hence your keywords and serps depending on what posts show, seo wise you get a yoyo effect in serps.

That means if someone links to a home page {rather than the article} it might not be there after a few posts so become a non relevant link.

Of course many other factors come into play, but static pages will often out do non static.

Yes.. I agree. Doesn't matter your blog is static or daily updated, google always loves you if you do the basic seo things.
