Difference between banned & de-indexed

    Tonight, I logged on and looked for different pages that always ranked high in the SERPs. To my horror, none of my pages weren't even ranked and dropped out of site. I did a Site:www.mydomain.com and it is still indexed...I still have other sites linked to me and my site isn't all that young (about 6 months).

    Just wondering if it got banned and how would I know if it did?

    Also, if it got banned - couldn't I create a brand new site?

    hi,
    there are few reason for that..
    - your site is indexed but having penalties in search engine..
    - if possible than pm me your domain name..i can say exactly after viewing it..
    - if you are having bad neighborhood links, it may also affect the rankings

    I went ahead and PM you my site name.

    My site is indexed still so big G penalized me for some reason.
    I checked my backlinks...nothing is coming from a bad neighborhood.

    I think it is a 30 page site and the pages I was targeting to rank high in the SERPs (most were in the top ten) tumbled out of site except for a few of them - but even the remaining few tumbled a few pages.

    The only thing that seemed like it didn't tumble was my index page.

    i got the pm and sent the reply, there might have fluctuation in result..your site will be back soon..the alternative solution is...send re inclusion request from google webmaster tool and explain your problem..they will take few days but you will definitely see the result if you did nothing wrong..
