Well there is 2 things depending on this

First thing is, is what type of forums are these?

And second, well depending on what the first is there is no second at the moment :-P

You can place AdSense on many types of forums. Go to the support site associated with your forum software, and do a search for AdSense. You will very likely find instructions for adding AdSense in a variety of placements there.

    http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js

Download that and then you have to figure out the code that generates the link. You can then post that link in your forum without all the javascript. Remember to fill in the variable definitions from the code that Google gives you to post on your site.

I've never tried doing this so it may or may not work. I just know coding and that's the way to go about doing this sort of thing.

Using the AdSense code in any other way than how it is generated in the control panel is against the AdSense terms unless you have special permission from AdSense to do so.

Then I guess the answer to the question of whether or not you need javascript to put the ad directly into your thread is "yes"

I would then recommend having a link to a product page on your own site from the thread which contains the big giant ad for FireFox from Google.

Or just skip the thread entirely and just put a link at the top of your forum for the product page.

I will give it a shot.

I have adsense in my forums - a leaderboard is placed below each first post in a thread

My problem is the firefox referal button showing up in posts..

Im using a very custom built IPB.

Erm...these codes gives me a headache.
The forums runs on phpBB, adding them like this forum does, an adsense on the first of every post. How should i go abt modifying this? :D
