Hi all, I just googled one keyword and the first two results were youtube videos, the third a pretty new blog and other were just sales pages,so what do you think can I be easily first(with a little work)for a keyword like this one. Thanks.
Check out the number of searches with the google keyword tool. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal The more searches the term gets the more competitive it will be. You can compare it to some of the other keywords you already rank for to get an idea of the task ahead of you.
If your keyword having less competition then you will get top result easily. That is based on your keyword.
It sounds like a very easy term to get rankings on. Unfortunately that usually means the keyword also doesn't get much search volume. PM me the keyword and I can check it out. You should use a keyword search tool to see approximately how much traffic the keyword gets. With the Google keyword tool make sure you change the match type to exact to exclude longer phrases that include that keyword.
Well I just don't want to reveal my keyword, how there isn't enough info? First 2 results are youtube videos, third is a 3 months old blog with only 20 posts and 1 link(checked in google with link:domain.com),other are sales pages with one or no links and the competition is 60,000 sites. You are right it sounds like a pretty easy term to rank for, that also I thought when I saw this keyword for the first time. Yes,I already checked it with google keyword tool,I am not a newbie to SEO just wanted some opinions, and the keyword has about 5.500 searches on average every month(exact match, not broad or phrase)and the best of all is that it is a 3 word phrase so I can even expect visitors from other similar keywords. I was just wondering how hard is to beat youtube videos in the rankings, because I never had keywords with youtube videos in the rankings.
If there's huge search volume, then it should be worth aiming and optimizing for the keyword. If I were you, I would stop guessing and work towards it.
Check out the volume using Adwords Keyword Tool and if anything else, it will give you great experience.
I don't think YouTube videos would be very tough to beat in the rankings. They would be unlikely to have many backlinks unless the video was quite popular. The backlinks that they do have probably don't use good link anchor text. To gauge the competitiveness of a keyword it often helps to check the backlinks of the websites ranking near the top. There is a firefox addon called seo for firefox. It may be useful to you as it displays various website stats right in the Google search results.
Do people search for that one keyword then in your mind can you see them doing whatever you have in mind for them once they reach your site? Does that one keyword make sense in the whole situation, making it worth ranking for?
Big yes, this keywords can convert into sales without any problems, thanks very much.Your questions helped me big time, going to create some blog, content, backlinks now, have lot of work to do if I want to beat this 2 videos.
Hi I would suggest to look for the "density" of the keywords or keyphrases that you use. If you searched it in Google and it returned like 10 Million plus results, then it's quite hard to compete with other websites or blogs having those keyphrase. However, if it's just 1 Million or below, then you have a good chance on landing in the first page at least.
Well my friend it has only 60,000 sites ranking for that keyword so I think that I have a really good chance being at least at the top 5.
