How does social book marking helps in my website?

I have found most of them with nofollow attribute..

 

It help in visibility & popularity even though it does not follow up links.

From an SEO perspective, no follow links does not give any value since the links would not be considered for ranking purposes. So if a social media website no follows all the link, the SEO value equals to zilch.

On the other hand, if done properly you can large volumes of traffic from these social media websites. For instance, stumble upon can send to thousands of visitors which even if the link is no follow.

In the end it the quantity and quality of traffic that you are after.

 

SBM sites give the visibility of your sites, contents and your stuffs so easily your site will viewed by users so you can get more traffic from SBM sites.

 

It could bring to you many traffic and relations

Ya , I agree with bbqguy .Its marketing channel through which we get relevant traffic. But investment here is u need to interact with each person .

 

Well social bookmarking is currently the heart of SEO. Don't post your content on all the sites. There are few best and that will work for u. for this u can refer to www.socialmarker.com or www.onlywire.com

 

You can get good traffic and back links form the social bookmarking. But mostly social bookmarking site are no follow links. I'm using social poster and social marker for doing SBM.

Stumble upon and Digg gives a lot of traffic. I have got more traffic from Stumble upon than all the search engines together gave. Stumble upon friends network can help you gain more unique traffic.
