Best Place to Sell Items (Free Listing) ?

I'm looking to maybe selling a car (so I don't want to go through listing fees if I end up not selling). What do you guys recommend as the best place to list this where the odds of it being seen are great? (Online, that is.)

eBay Motors is what I usually use, but they charge money. I was thinking Craigslist, but I don't know how they work, if its reliable, or if its even free.

Sure I could search on Google (and I will), but I was hoping I could get some first hand advice.

By the way, if it matters, I live in the USA (Connecticut).

    Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I just checked craigslist and see I can list this for free. Any other suggestions? I'm skipping over musichangout's post because he didn't read.

EBAY is good place for you to buy or to sell anything in the world.
Go that site and registered yourself first, then sell or buy anything you want.

People are more familiar with eBay than any other online marketplace. So, I would recommend eBay.

Craigslist is free to list on, but the quality depends on the individual buyer. Beware as there are definitely con artists there, like any other site.

I'm not sure how much they charge, but there are local publications like AutoTrader, SwapaLease, and your local paper. It might be worth it to you to pay a few dollars for an ad if it sells your car that much faster. Good luck!

The simplest way would be too visit a local car reseller or agent. Or insert a classifieds ad in the local newspapers. That will save you money and you will get good response also.

Listing on Craigslist is free (except a few sections, such as employment), so I would reccomend it, its the most popular site besides ebay
