Effect of excessive inbound links on SEO

Hi everybody...

My website has full of inbound links itself. Does excessive inbound links affect by SEO traffic rank? Is there any limitation or restrictions to allow inbound links to my site?

Excessive how much. It totally demands on density of page.

 

links are always good - BUT do not have the links pointing to the same page and with the same anchor text

you need DEEP LINKS into your site and you need to MIX UP your anchor text

this will keep it natural in the eyes of google

 

Don't over do it otherwise google will pick it up as spam. But if however you want to do it, they should not all have same location and anchor text.

Definitely, excessive inbound links will affect your site rank. There is nothing as such limitation or restriction... but there should not be excess in submission of your site and the anchor text should vary after every few submissions.

 

I am not sure what you mean - usually a high number of inbound links is a good thing.

There is no such thing as to many "inbound" links. Just make sure the each is SEOed correctly to take advantage of them.

Be careful on the "rate of generation" and always use multiple sources.

As others have stated, as long as your keep the links looking natural you should be fine. If a large percentage of your links all use the exact same anchor text, you would likely get penalized. So mix up the anchor text. I'm not so sure you will get penalized if you don't get deep links too, but deep links are a good idea to get internal pages ranked.

Google is NOT going to "penalize" you for having too many inbound links. If they did then everyone's competitors could easily kick them out of the rankings by spamming dofollow blogs, directories, and forums. What Google might do though is devalue most of those links if they notice they were obtained at an unnaturally so that they no longer help your PR and the link text, etc. no longer helps your rankings.

It's Okay to have lots of links, you just want to acquire them from sources, in a way, and at a rate that looks natural.

Not getting any links for months, then one day getting 1000 inbounds from dofollow forums, then going two month with no inbounds, then getting 1000 inbounds from dofollow blogs, then going two months with no inbounds, then getting 1000 inbounds from directories... does NOT look natural.

I would suggest you ramp up the inbounds gradually at first... then you can speed it up over time... and also that you mix it up so that they don't come in large bunches all from the same type of source (blogs or forums or directories, etc.).

 

I think it really depends on where the links are coming from. If it's a quality link from quality site, definitely there would be no problem on it as it's more beneficial than detrimental.
