That's a way to insert the adsense on blogspot layout, google has been contacted about these minor changes on the code to make it suitable to use on blogspot bloggers and guess what? No problem.
Gosh, there is even an automated way to do this, you just copy and paste the code and the website convert it for ya, there are a bunch of websites online using this, if I remember well, even "woork" changes minor things on the adsense code. And guess what? No problems so far.. But that's up to you. ;)

A7mad, If you have read Adsense's TOS, You'll see that it is NOT allowed to edit the form, the shape or add anything to the code, use it as it is, or don't.

No biggy for me, I mean you can use it, However; Just to be 100% sure, try contacting adsense.

    My 2 cents.

Big big no no. That is the one thing that Google take very badly, tampering with their code.

My first reaction was that you will be banned, but after reading this it looks like some modifications are possible. Its a very grey area though and I wouldnt risk it.

    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95885

Can I modify the AdSense for search code to comply with W3C HTML and XHTML standards?

In general, as specified in our program policies, we don't permit modifications to the AdSense code; however we do allow specific modifications that allow our AdSense for search code to comply with W3C HTML and XHTML standards.

Here are the changes that you'll need to make in order for your code to be compliant:

    1. Remove the closing </input> and </image> tags
    2. Add an additional closing '/' to the end of the opening html tags for <input> and <image>. This should occur for all 'image' and 'input' tags.

For example, this is an unmodified portion of the AdSense for search code:

    <img src="http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_25wht.gif" border="0" alt="Google" align="middle"></img></a>
    <input type="hidden" name="oe" value="ISO-8859-1"></input>

This is what the modified version would look like:

    <img src="http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_25wht.gif" border="0" alt="Google" align="middle" /></a>
    <input type="hidden" name="oe" value="ISO-8859-1" />

Please be sure to modify the search code only as described above, since our program policies do not allow any additional modifications.

i think you can change this way , btw i did that for my layout blog. maybe we will get more cash from this change if that adsense algorithm is detecting this HTML code to give more cash for blogger publishers.

yes i am making more cash from blogger blog than my own URL

Having reviewed the AdSense ToS like others have; you can actually modify the code to the description of OP; however, earnings will not be affected.
