Just wondering, can I use a debit card instead a credit card? how about using a DC with paypal?? thanks
If your debit card has a Visa, Mastercard or American Express logo on the front of the card, then most likely yes - you wll be able to use it both online and with PayPal. However, if it does not have one of those logos on it then no... that card is only meant for bank machines and in store swipe purchases using a pin number.
You can use a debit card for online purchases and PayPal account, it acts just like a credit cards except it pay from the balance of your bank account.
my dc has VISA Electron (and of course the visa logo). the problem here is that when trying to get it work with paypal, pp says: sorry, there was a problem with your card .. your bank.. etcetc. any ideas? does this have to do with me living in Albania? thank you! this is the message I get: "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."
please look at the message above. I also tried on Godaddy, no success paypal says (with two different debit cards): "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."
Mine did that, it was because I used it on an old account that went in to debt and the card was kept on file as a bad card. Call you bank and ask them to remove any direct debit setups with PayPal. Then call PayPal support and they will add the card normally. Thats how I did it and I have a VISA debit card from HSBC.
Yes , u can always use 1.until the site doesn't accept it. check out the T&C first. anyways most sites on net accept a Visa/MC debit cards.
It depends upon the bank who issued you a debit card. Indian debit cards do not work in buying things online.
