I have created a blog , I am just new to this blog seo.. i did SEO for the website its getting good ranking..but dont know how to start with Blogs SEO..Please sugest me the first steps for performing this.

Update you blog as much as possible I usually spend 80% of my time SEOing and 20% on articles Also, submit your site to websites like digg.com
I just upgraded my KingsWeblog to word press 2.7 and with the features I found available. 1 I added all the share buttons . 2 I now have stats 3 google analytics 4 easy themes 5 all in one SEO available Just to name a few. What blog are you using? it will help to be specific so people can help you.
Look for quality relevant blogs and contact them about link exchange. This should bring some additional traffic + good backlinks. Also, like it was already mentioned, try submitting to sites like digg, stumbleupon, etc.
It's supposed to be the same whether it is for blogs or websites. Things like use meta tags, keyword optimization, internal link structure, inbound links....all are still there.
