This is an Article which I posted at my blog before 2 years! Now I changed my blog as a Personal Blog. No more webmaster stuff there! So, here are the articles(will post all soon..) for you. Please comment on it and post your ideas about making money with blogging. (I know my english 2 years back was bad compared to now. Please bear!) How to be a HERO Blogger from a ZERO Blogger If you have started a new blog or you're already a blogging geek or thinking about starting a blog, there are things which you still need to know about blogging. This article may help you know some new ideas about blogging. Here are the stages of a blog and the ideas for monetization of a blog at different stages. Crawling stage of a blog: This stage is very important for every blog. At this stage every blogger is eager to take his/her blog to its next level. This is the stage where you've to concentrate on quality posts and SEO. At this stage you get the new visitors who are the source for your future traffic. If you impress your new visitors at this stage they will publicize your blog by linking to your valuable posts (If it has a real value). There are some steps to be followed at this stage. Write at least 5 pillar articles in your blog. Pillar articles are the articles which are the foundations of your blog. These articles are often liked by the readers and other bloggers will link to it from their blogs. Search for 'Pillar Article' at google to know more about it. Don't expect income from your blog at this stage. In any business it is impossible to generate revenue at its starting stage. Blogging is also a business. Don't litter your blog with advertisements. Concentrate only on quality of the posts. Visit blogs related to your niche and learn what they are doing at their blogs and why people like those blogs. Look at those blogs in a reader's view and also in a blogger's view. Post valuable comments in all blogs you frequently visit. This will give exposure to your blog among the people who blog about your niche. If there is Top Commentators plug-in installed in other blogs try to have your name in the top list. Participate in blog contests. This will get you backlinks and may be some cash or prize. But post the review before posting a quality post. This will reduce the visibility of reviews so that your blog don't look like a blog meant only for reviews. Participate in blogcarnivals. Visit www.blogcarnival.com and search for the carnival related to your blog. Submit the link to your blog post which fits best to the carnival. Carnivals will bring targeted traffic and also get backlinks. Submit your blog to directories. Write a useful article in your niche and submit it to various article directories. "Don't expect income from your blog at this stage"- This doesn't mean that not to have any advertisement at your blog. It means you should not expect the performance of your ads at this stage. You can have Adsense and Kontera in your blog at this stage. At this stage the income from your blog is very low. Obviously a blog with less traffic generates less income. Get a MyBlogLog account and create a MyBlogLog community. Place recent visitors widget from MyBlogLog and personally send thanks to all the people who visited your blog using MyBlogLog. This'll bring some traffic. Link to other blogs in your niche and ask them for link exchange by personally sending an e-mail to them. You must have a contact page at your blog. This make your visitors trust you because you're at a reaching distance to them. Have an About page in your blog and describe about you. It is better to have your photo at the about page. If possible conduct a contest at your blog and send emails to other blogs about your contest. This will bring nice traffic to your blog. If you follow all the above steps, with in three months you'll get at least a PR2 and also some nice traffic to your blog. Don't have a fear about not having experience in blogging. Remember 'Sometimes Interest can do better than Experience'. Blog after 3 months: Now there may happened a PR update and your blog now has a PR1 or PR3. Don't worry if you don't have PR at this time. Sure you'll get a nice PR in the next PageRank update. Now your blog is 3 months old and you may came across different and new blogging experiences. There is a good traffic to your blog at this stage (No need for heavy traffic). This is the stage where you have to diversify your blog's income sources. At this stage you've to do all the steps you followed in the last three months. The only difference between the first stage and 3 months stage is that you've to look at your earnings at this stage. Research your ads. If the income is still low, check for the reason. Do experiments with Ad-Positioning. If you're promoting affiliate products select the proper affiliate product. Create an advertisement page at you blog with reasonable advertising cost. So that your visitors who want to advertise in your blog can easily contact you. If possible get reviewed by any popular blogger in your niche. This costs more but will bring in a huge targeted traffic. Write guest posts in popular blogs in your niche. To do this write a stunning article in your niche and personally email your article to any popular blog's webmaster and tell that you're willing to post a guest post. If the article is really good, your article will be published and you'll get some nice traffic. All bloggers love to be interviewed. So interview popular bloggers in your niche and so that they will link to their interview post at your blog and you'll get some traffic. Help new bloggers to start their blog and guide them in all ways. They will sure link to your posts and sometimes they will tell you as their guru to their visitors. This will create a good image to you in the blogosphere. Blog after a year: Now your blog is generating a handsome income and still you have to do all the techniques like Link building, posting quality posts and so. You've earned some nice income from your blog and this is the time to start a new blog. Start a new blog and do all, what you did for your first blog. If you have time write posts by your own or hire freelancers to write posts for you. You can hire freelancers who will write articles for $3-$4 an article which are really good. You can get freelancers at www.getafreelancer.com or www.rentacoder.com . But most people don't want to start a new blog. If you want to get more income you have to start a blog. At this stage you know what to do with a blog and how to generate income from a blog. So, hire people to do all. You just manage people and their work. You can get more from your second blog quickly because here you are following only proven methods and not experimenting new methods. Wish you all the best for your success in blogging!
