I've been away for quite some time, a couple of years I think. When I left, this forum was bustling and thriving with sales and purchases and many, many posts a day.

Now it seems to have been overcome by very young people and there seems to be a fraction of posts being posted in comparison.

Any people who remember the time I described? Where are you?

Is this the effect of the "credit crunch"?

    Brum.

Loads of people seem to have moved on, ive seen the change, its a rather different place now.

Peronally id rather stay here than moving onto a smaller forum as many i think do, its more established here.

    scubita's on target.
Some of the old faithful have just abandoned DP because of the way it has 'developed' over the last year or so. Business is slower too because of the global economic meltdown, but that's not the underlying issue here.

Things have changed for sure. Between some rogue moderators and a owner who no longer cares, the place has lost its major appeal. This combined with too much low balling and too much chit chat has caused many long time members to quit coming on a regular basis.

I didn't know how DP used to be but I still think the forum is pretty amazing!

has the business dropped that much?

The BST seems bustling to me...

@allout, Doesn't the owner ever use the forum then? who is the owner anyway?

And is the general Chit chat that bad?

I know some of it is pointless but some of it is appealing too. well imoa

Oh and nice to meet you BRUm

That question says it all really.
He's a chap called Shawn D. Hogan. He used to be here quite a lot, but not so much any more. Kind of handed over the daily running to someone else.

Chit chat is ok but how many times can you ask if someone is a virgin or ask what kind of soda you like? This forum use to be mainly a webmaster topic forum and the BST was much more active with solid money making not the penny people you see now.

The owner is Shawn Hogan and he is rarely here and he is the only one who can change and update stuff on the forum. It has been left to several moderators and some have no direction or experience but are basically left to their own agenda.

Thanks for all the info, Wow so the guys a millionair, It's a shame that the forum has gone downwind so much as you say, I completely agree I mean there is a limit on how many times certain things can be asked and people trying to spam, cheat and lie.

it's a shame the mods dont seem to take much notice or have much opinion on the matter of DP then I guess :(

Still, it's the best forum I've come across, with great people posting on it, bar the idiots that it.

I still think that this is the most organized forum for webmasters especially the BST section, even with some spam posts it still the best
Its hard to keep the forum clean if you look in vb spy you will see that it's almost 1new post/sec

Where is robjones? Don't Cowboys shoot Indians? ;)

I think the whole thing is your fault, when you stopped scaring them off with your pictures, they started crowding the place. :p
