So it would be 3500+hosting which would come out to be around 4500 to get the site started

You have to pay for the hosting at the end of every month. Theres absolutely no need to pay upfront for the server.
At the end of 3 months, your site would be making you close to $500/month(worst case scenario)
It would be about 6-8 months by the time you start making $1500/month!
This is a very vague figure and results for each website are different!
But I can guarantee you'd be making $1500 at the end of 6-8 months
You could be making way more than that too,,but I prefer staying on the safer side by giving a guarantee for a lower value.

Do you have any successful case you did before? Or you just have a theory and you think you can prove it? why can't you just setup your demo site and make couple thousand dollars a month and at same time you will show us the progress and I believe after 3 months you will get ton of order from here or anywhere..

Would you be willing to "scale down" your promotional efforts and guarantee for example 100 to 150$ a month after 6 month? I have http://images.llfk.com/ site that I would like to promote. Also, having adsense on image/files hosting sites is like playing with fire (I have adsense only on the front page where there are no images on my image hosting site to be on a safe side)... Does your monetization plan include adsense?
