    Yahoo is broken, their search engine is crumbling, their bot is the slowest, it may take months to get rankings on yahoo. My site took a few months to get any ranking on yahoo, but it's only like 1 keyword, and the strangest of all keywords too.

    Yahoo and Google's only difference is that they both do the samethings, but yahoo seems to be more random and slower.

    Yahoo does have more users, but Google will usually bring you more traffic. You should work on front page of google first (climbing up the page takes time, but getting to front page can be a couple months). While your doing ongoing linking for google you should really look at Yahoo and MSN.
    First of all Yahoo and MSN user CONVERT more often, but if you would only get half the traffic from these other search engines, then you will still be able to get 50% MORE traffic by spending a little time on Yahoo and MSN

    To some of the posters above,

    Why would you not try to rank in Yahoo? While Google definitely has the most volume and better quality traffic, you are missing out on a huge market if you don't try to promote for Yahoo.

    over the past three months, yahoo site explorer shows that my site has 7,000 backlinks, but still not one single page of my site is indexed in yahoo.

    Why is this?

    both search engien have diff. algorithm so if u target yahoo then it will rank in yahoo but not in google.
