    Did you follow their criteria?

And first of all, is your site good enough to be listed in DMOZ? ( In your honest opinion)

Googles directory is made up of DOMZ directory and It is very tough to get your website listed in Dmoz.. You can read some information regarding adding your site in dmoz here at http://www.dmoz.org/add.html.

But, if you know the Dmoz registered editor for the category where u want your website to be listed, that will help you in get listed....

actually i know much more about dmoz already
I did't tell you bcoz i wants you to check out yourself on net
dmoz is a humen edited directory there all the submitted sites are checked by humens means someone like you and me who know how to check sites and their rankings and performance so they guys checks all the sites one by one and this things makes this process slow so if you resubmit your site again then it can comes in last in the queue of sites submission and thus your sites never gets index

My view on that is go through their guidelines for title, description, topic etc. for submission of the site. You can find on it. If every thing is ok and the editor login regularly, you stand good chance.
    Good luck!

hey become an editor for dmoz, that way you can build relationships....

you seem to have committed the cardinal sin of submission, submit once and then only resubmit every 6 mths
be honest with your self is your site free of errors, do it have good unique content, is there correct capitalization

any other trick you need to learn yourself

true but you build relationships and get to know ppl in other top categories..... this helps when you know the person who edits the top category you are submitting to

try submitting to a category which does not have as much competition.... but obey the submit once rule(/6 mths)

dmoz is managed by volunteer editor and it will take too much time to get listed. u have to wait atlist 6 month after submission. if the site will not listed after 6months try again to submitt.

Dmoz is not the only way to get your website rank at the top in the search engines. There are many ways to promote your website.

if your site was rejected once, don't keep submitting it unless you revamp it because it will just be a waste of yours and the editors time.

sometimes you just need to pay the editor or have an editor that's your good friend. its the sad truth. most of my sites are not in dmoz.

Go for it, as long as it's been at least six months since you last submitted your site. Keep in mind that your inclusion in dmoz depends more on the quality of your content (and usefulness of your site, in the eyes of the editors), not just because it's popular and receives traffic.

I don't think anything is set in stone. There are many factors. I had one site that was accepted after the first attempt and another, which has original content, hasn't been accepted after 3-4 attempts.

If your site has quality content and adds value to the user's experience then theres no reason why you shouldn't be listed. I'm sure the editors are smart enough to figure out a blatent MFA or affiliate site.
