What email subscription program do you use?

I need an email subscription program. Once they subscribe I want to send mass emails to everyone on the list. I need them to have to confirm their email address etc.

Where can I get a script like this?

I use aweber.com and have been happy with them so far. They actually call me once a month to talk about how i'm doing, how my list is progressing, what I am having trouble with etc.. It's a nice touch on their part.

There are some other good ones out there as well, with similar pricing. I tried a couple others, but couldn't understand the interfaces and the logic behind what I was supposed to do, how to setup the auto emailing etc..

Hmm... I don't really have the money to invest into that right now. $20 may not seem like much but to a broke student it is :p. Thanks for the site though! Will keep it in mind and if I must, then I guess I'll be doing a few articles a month to pay for it.

Any free scripts/programs out there that are decent?

Hmm.. I just looked into it a little more. Apparently they give students a discount of 20% PLUS there is a 30 day free trial... so I guess at $16 it is a little easier to afford.

The price of $19 per month is only for 0-500 subscribers.

When you have lists of more than 500 subscribers, you'll have to pay much more than $19.

    Check out aweber's pricing here.

    http://www.aweber.com/pricing.htm

I suggest you go for Getresponse. It's also a very reliable email marketing service provider.

And now it's $145.4 per year, that's $12 per month for unlimited lists of subscribers.

You can sign up a free account to try out the service before your purchase.

I use email aces...they are pretty cheap if you want to get started. The caveat with aweber is that they use a double opt-in procedure, so importing a previous email list of yours into aweber is a pain in the butt. BUT I must say it seems that aweber is the most reliable as far as getting mails delivered for sure.

Hi, you have some free options with some limitations but that work fine for start.
I started using feedblitz but I now use emailmeform that is more easy to work with. Check both as they have some diferences.
If you have a website you can use phplist that usually comes with auto install.
Other option is software programs like emailmarketingpro. There are many and you will need a server to send messages.
If you have a big list you can start thinking on using some of these.

    Blessings and good deals!

Go to sourceforge.net and download a free copy of PHPlist. Such a brilliant soft. I love it! I could pay for aweber but I won't because I never pay for stuff I can get free (call it a life philosophy or whatever)

Have they actually shared any tips like how to build a better list, given you any valuable info etc? Or is it just another courtesy phone-call? I get these calls from other companies and to be honest, it just irritates me! Time-wasters :D But I cannot speak for aweber because I've never used them.

I been a customer of ConstantContact and its been really good experience. If your looking for a free service, the only thing you can do is install a script on your server, however if your hosting on a budget company, chances are they have put a max limit on outgoing mail, meaning you will be bottlenecked by your hosting company.

GetResponse. It's neck and neck with Aweber, plus it integrates into my ecommerce scripts. :)

If you are going to host your own autoresponder, AutoresponderPlus is one of the better, more affordable scripts.
