If you think that even one percent of the people who visit your site are going to buy something, then you're really optimistic. A computer related site of mine has about 1000 Uniques per day, ending in about 200 Affiliate Clicks and in the end I have about 2-3 sales per Day.
Your niche: There are tons of Online Guides out there - FOR FREE! Sorry, but who wants to spend money on that? Some do... but as I said they're only a few...

Try 4 different niches, but ones that you have a person interest in or passion.

Find a way to talk to your audience, the people who purchase the guide are frustrated with the game, they lvl slow, they are jealous of the people in epic gear etc. Market through that angle....

    Steps for success

    Find a hungry market
Find product that feeds the market
Learn how to communicate with the market
Offer them that product, and then SCALE

I must admit is a tough niche but it shouldn't stop you from promoting it. I myself promoted this niche and always made 5 to 6 sales a month and it always kept me in profits. you've designed a nice looking website now all you need for now is to direct the proper traffic to your site and see which one converts..

one thing I would change on the site though, is reduce the number of different outbound links to affiliate website and target to only one audience and only one product

You've basically just tested the waters and it's not going as well as you hoped but don't worry about it, just move on to your next niche.

You've already proven that you know what to do and you made a couple of sales doing so , so just rinse and repeat with a different niche and hopefully you will find one that converts a lot better.

As someone already mentioned - wow guides are not the best way to start off with affiliate marketing ! There are tons of information and free guides available, and if someone really buys your product - you should be happy ! Why ? Simply no one wants to pay for something that they can get for free .. even if it looks better, they will not buy it. I have seen a lot of peoples talking about their /success/ in affiliate marketing and 70% were promoting some game guides .. Better go and find something different from this - you will see better results :)

I have to admit I agree with the game guides market not being so hot. I do have one word of warcraft site and make about 60 dollars a month from it, though it gets quite a lot of traffic.

Too many kids with no money playing.

Those stats are close to mine. I average about 5 sales per 1000 unique hits, but in my case I only get 100 unique hits a day (3000 hits a month) hence I average about 15 sales a month. So maybe the key is to aim for more unique hits a day for more sales. If LukeG28 can get 2 or 3 sales after only a few hundrend hits a week imagine what you can do with a few hundred hits a day? Try building backlinks to your website to increase your google positioning. I am in the process of doing that right now. You can find info about how to do this in the forum in the Marketing Section under "Link Development".

WoW is stuffed with buyers. You have to pay to play the game, and items are traded for real money in forums all over the web. People want to get ahead, and they want to do it fast. So, the niche is well qualified for some decent effort.

The trouble you may be having is your preselling, and traffic quality.

About preselling: Frank Kern's Mass Control teaches how to sell without actually selling, by making friends with your prospects, demonstrating your value through teaching and sharing quality information for free, and how results = proof = sales.

In your niche, this could be done with a case study of you taking a new character and using the techniques in the guide to powerlevel your way up to the maximum level. Screenshots, videos, text descriptions of your daily activities and so on will reveal the power of the guide to your visitors.

Plus, it helps them to visualise themselves using the guide, and as I mentioned before: results = proof = sales. Showing the visitor the end result of your experiences, full disclosed with nothing held back, and the resulting success is a serious sales pitch that people can't really ignore.

Another thing is allaying people's fears about being scammed. Use blurred screenshots of the product itself, videos of you going through the purchase process, screenshots of the download pages/members areas and so on. Along with your personal assurances that the website is safe, encrypted, trusted, etc.

Oh, and one more thing. The quality of your site will have some effect on your visitor's frame of mind. The more they trust you, the more they trust your recommendations, and ultimately the more likely the are to end up buying.

Have a look at this site: http://www.wowsecretguide.com/best-wow-guides.php (not mine.. just found it through a quick Google search).

It's quite personal, nicely laid out, using screenshots and personal recommendations and stories, the works. BUT, even this site could be beefed up with some better design. Have a look at the WoW official homepage. Obviously you don't want to completely reproduce something of that quality and expense, but being similar gives you authority and credibility by association. Which is good.

Summary: Don't give up yet. There's plenty of money, and plenty of opportunity to create compelling review/recommendation sites with a bit of creativity. Go for it.

You ain't having any traffic on that review site of yours how are you expecting any sales?

-- Try promoting it more and you'll see a sale or two popping up from nowhere :)

You need to take more action.

I've read your posts carefully and ONE thing you are missing most is action.

See, you want to make enough money so that you don't need to get a job I guess?

So, if you want to earn that much money you have to start treating affiliate marketing as your current job. What this means is working at least 5 solid hours per day on it.

Learning doesn't count into these hours. You can learn 3 hours per day and read marketing forums but you HAVE to work at least 5 hours per day.

If you can just implement what I'm trying to explain in this post (= TAKING ACTION) you'll be seeing fast sales and a lot of them in a matter of weeks.. if not days.

Look, every single day you are not taking SERIOUS action you are losing money. Serious action means at least 3 ezine articles per day, at least 5 comments on blogs per day, at least 3 new blog posts on different blogs per day, at least one new hubpage per day, at least 3 new backlinks to that hubpage per day, at least 3 new backlinks to each of your blogs per day, at least one social bookmarking link to each of your articles, blogs, hubpages etc and I could go on and on about this.

You can do a lot in 5 hours. But you need to have a clear plan and be DETERMINED.

I'm sure you'll be able to make this happen if you'll decide and start working now.

Your doing one thing wrong - using Clickbank. Clickbank started scamming as their hop tracking system is way off and they do not want to fix it.
