first of clear your concepts. there are many meta tags but the most important one is meta description tag. meta keyword tag is not at all important for Google but Yahoo! and MSN do count it a little bit. as far as the usage of keywords tool is concerned, try different variations and synonyms of the keywords you want to target and which are relevant to the pages of your website. prepare an exhaustive list of all the keywords. also do some brain storming with the people around you (if possible). when you are done with the list, delete the keywords which are not at all relevant to your website. further, try grouping keywords to convert them into key phrase but they should make sense. keyphrases are easy as well as better to target
