I've been coding the scripts for a few weeks now throughout my free time and have finally done enough to release the first stage of bet@ for the site. One tool still isn't comleted, but I should get around to it possibly sometimes this weekend. www.goya-rank.com Feedback is welcomed. Regards, J Fontestad
i just noticed your electro-land site isnt working... just letting you know... maybe the code to work with amazon's api isnt complete... was looking at all of the sites in your network... nice work though...
Thanks for the feedback. I just finished writing the howto page and for some funny reason it crashes my IE window. Take a look for all you IE ppl out there and let me know if it does the same. goya-rank.com/howto-goyarank.php
It seems like the websites for dummies look of circa 1998 is back in stye...judging by the poor navigation and tacky colors. Seriosuly, no one is going to take your product seriously if your website looks like it was put together with yahoo page builder. And your possition feature doesnt work either.
I like the idea of the site, I haven't been able to find all 3 in one place before. It's neat that you have the image logo in the field background, but you may want to make it a bit lighter, i have a hard time reading the text over it. I know the MSN results were showing correct for me. goya-rank.com/howto-goyarank.php did crash IE for me.
If you click on the SEs logo it will bring you to the results page of the SE itself and you can verify the position of your website. Keep in mind that instead of 10 results per page it goes through 100. So you website may be off by a few spots.
schlottke: Thanks... Wendy...: Will do. Thanks for you alls input so far. All feedback is welcomed. *Fixed the IE Bug also* I think I found a new bug in IE.... has to do with CSS.....
Make sure your DOCTYPE is correct - besides the obvious benefits, it also makes IE work better with CSS. You point your DOCTYPE to the HTML spec site: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/"> , but the URL should point to the DTD <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> J.D.
Not sure if it is the first one that is "not working" as you mentioned above, but when using the "keyword" search I get the following error: "Warning: substr_count(): Empty substring. in /home/goyara55/public_html/index.php on line 25 Wa"
I should have been more specific. Sorry about that. If you only enter the "keyword", but do not list your site, and then begin a search, you will get that error. You might want to code the page so it returns a popup or something that tells the end user they need to enter the other variable. Hope this helps.
