Good Morning everybody! My first post here! Hope ya'll doing alright! I have an ecommerce and I have a tough time to bring traffic to it. I'd like to have your experts opinion on ...Is SEO the best free traffic generation method? I simply have no money to buy traffic and I've done all the basics to my website about SEO but I still don't see my pages coming up in the SE. So far, it looks to me that SEO is more of a long term traffic generation method... But I'm probably wrong about this...I'm fairly new to marketing online... Hi welcome Ty. Read up and familiarize yourself with SEO and see what works for your business. Do what you can to optimize your site on your own and when you get to the point where it is too much hire out some of your work. When you read up on SEO you'll know what questions to ask and be more selective who you delegate your work too. Hope this helps.
Yes SEO is definitely the best free marketing strategy. It is not the easiest thing for beginners to pick up though. There are many strategies to use and specific rules to follow. You should read up on various link building strategies and try some of those for yourself. It is best to read as much as you can about seo first.
adding a blog to your site will help. also, getting inbound links from squidoo, digg and ezinearticles alone helps a lot.
You should have lots of traffic methods. One is SEO. You could use other methods also. You know the theory of "Dont put all your eggs in one basket".

Some suggest that the blog should be a sub domain of my website, others say it should be on an independent domain with back links to my website? What do you guys think about this? You could try making lenses about the products in your e-commerce site. Another idea is to write articles about them and include the links to your site. Just trying to help
