I have seen some clickbank product ads on google that are direct linked to the product page. The display URL is their own domain but when I click on the ad it goes straight to the product page. I am wondering who they are able to direct link on adwords with a different display url and a different destination url.
Actually when i enter their domain name directly into the browser it is an iframe of the product page. However if you click on their google ad it doesn't display as an iframe but goes straight to the product page. Also when i try doing a redirect of my domain i get a really poor quality score
is forwarding and redirecting the same thing,if not then plz tel the procedure for redirection, since i am fwding my domain name to merchant page in ezine article but the hops statistic are not showing properly in Cb.for instant if clicks in ezine of particular article is 30 ,so it means i shal xpect arnd 25 hops for sure, but its showing only 3-4 hops fr dat merchant Plz help me to resolve dis
Good luck making a profit with PPC and direct linking these days.... It aint 2004 any more, the days of "google cash" are long gone peeps
Eventually direct linking will be dead. There may be some money left in it now, but over half the campaigns you try to direct link will lose money (for most people) I'm sure you heard it before, but I am going to repeat it. "Original content is king" Using your time to make real content will result in profit month after month, and it will become residual. Direct linking is like struggling to make 1 sale at a time. Here is a simple but effective long term plan to make a profitable business that should last.. 1. Pick a niche that will be around a long time 2. get yourself a domain and a blog, put some hoplink banners and links in the header and sidebar 3. Spend time writing and posting original content on a scheduled basis 4. Work important keywords into your blog posts 5. Promote your blog and sales will come If someday the product/s you are promoting become obsolete or are removed from clickbank, you can simply find new products to match your niche.
I still do alright with direct linking. I agree it is alot harder then it was although it is all down to the keywords you pick. I try to think outside the box. All I try and think is what would i type in if I was ready to buy NOW? Then direct linking still works very well. Just my 2 pence Chris
I agree, direct linking is a waste. Plus, you should be working on building a list. You need to get people to a page that has original informative content with only two things to do on it 1. Sign up for your list 2. Go to the seller's site that you are an affiliate for.
I do ok with direct linking, but I like the idea of setting up a blog and just coming up with content. I'm sure at first it will start off slow but if you target some easy keywords it can help jump start it for sure. I also like building a list and sending people to the sales page of the product. However I feel this way takes a little longer to make a sale, but allows you to sell the people over and over again down the line. So I guess it all just matters what fits your style really. Right now I direct link all my article traffic and it converts ok. I send all my paid traffic to my review site which also converts. So both ways are working, and I'm not going to fix something if its not broken
People still think that they can profit nowadays with direct linking, but they don't realize that Google cash days are over. You may want to check out my recent post about Adwords direct linking
good blog post bl4ckmaN^ ... my experience of direct linking was very short ... google figured it out and stopped my ads ... i do think there's better ways to be making the money these days
lol, that's how my DL campaigns usually ended up Actually ads weren't stopped, but the QS was sh!t, and the bids wooooooooow.
I do fine with direct linking but it has to do with the niche I guess.. sometimes a presell or review page just wastes time.. hit them with a good sales page and thats fine.. I guess the only thing I will add is if the niche or product is kind of competitive and you are both showing the same 'display url' then pay the extra for your own domain name as Google will only show the best performing ad or highest bid if you both have the same display url.. so if the CB product I am promoting is called www. o r i g i n a l p r o d u c t n a m e.com .... then I will register the domain name > www. o r i g i n a l p r o d u c t n a m e p r o .com .. add pro.. or some other modifier to your URL that includes the original product name, this helps as my url then matches the original product sales page and visitors feel its the same site.. plus not to mention the SEO advantages of including the product name in your URL helps for those people doing searches by product name.
