BIM stands for Building Information Modeling. If your interested please name a price. Also, you may not resell this software and has to be branded with what I want. I need this software to do the same thing but has to be different I dont need legal issues. Please send me a pm or post with your price qoute.
dude i think this is too much of a huge project to be posted in DP> why dont u try GAF. u may get suitable programmers there. and i think this job may be worth more than $1k. just my 2 cents !
Can you not use AutoCAD architecture ? Developing something like BIM might cost you as much as $3k !! You may also check other freelance website like http://getafreelancer.com/ ,etc .
Thanks for responding to my thread. I would go with AutoDesk but I would have to purchase license for over 10 computers. I think it will be cheaper if I have some one create it. Also, I may need to distribute this to a few 1000 people. 3k sounds good, I was figuring 4-10k.
Expect to pay way more than 3k. If Autodesk only cost 3k to make, do you think they would be charging several hundred per license?
You are better of using pre-made applications. It will cost you thousands literally to gather a bunch of smart programmers who can code you exactly what you need. I am guessing that your expectations are very high since these high-end 3D architecture/design applications that are already available in the market dont suit your needs. Also, there are a lot of negative effects down the road. What if your workstations upgrade to Windows 7 in a few years and program is not compatible as it was before? What if certain hardware configurations are not meeting the program's requirements? It will be hard and very expensive to trouble shoot and maintain such a software in the long run if you don't have a reliable team of in-house programmers. I have used the following programs for architecture use to date: Autodesk Architect, Autodesk Revit. Revit is meant more towards 3D modelling of structures such as houses.
