Hi friends, I have kept the link building process up and built several backlinks with anchor text . But when i search using the keywords the site doesnt appear on google.

does some one help with suggestions and tips to improve keyword rankings on google?

First you need to determine if the site is indexed. That's pretty easy, just Google:

    site:yourdomain.com

If it shows any of your pages you are in Google's index.

If it doesn't show up, go back and see if the links you've got going to your page are either "no follow" links or are generated via JavaScript.

Next you should try to continue building backlinks that are NOT "no follow." I have found a great way to get started is by putting some keyword phrase title articles at EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com along with a keyword phrase anchor link text back to your site.

Be sure to build "do-follow" links on sites that get crawled often, most likely you will be indexed the next time that site is crawled.

You also must look at competing pages for a certain keywords. Some keywords would be next to impossible to rank for while others would be relatively easy.

Several backlinks won't get you any decent Google rankings. You are likely competing with websites that have hundreds or thousands of links. You need to be patient and keep building links using a variety of link anchor texts. Look into some other link building strategies such as article submission, press release submission, blog commenting, social bookmarking, directory submission, etc.

how many links you built? what is your niche and your anchor? when did you built those links? its hard to say without all these info as it might take months before your site appears in search results. also, if you have a competitive niche, you will need boat load of links, not just few

Great suggestions here. Personally, I would ignore the press releases, and I would add forum postings.

"Several" ain't gonna work especially if you have competitors which is most likely the case.
Try to get more backlinks from quality sites closely related to your niche and wait for the results.
Some unique content with your keywords here and there will help as well.

Look at everyone who is outranking you and figure out why.
