    Generate a few links about the place and they will all find you - check you logs and you will find search engine bots indexing your site that you have never heard of. Check your stats though, and you will see that only the big engines send significant traffic so focus on them - and you don't need to submit to them.

    You don't need to submit your site... just focus on creating backlinks from popular sites and the SERPs willl crawl your site in no time :)

    search engine submission days are long gone. since you will need to build backlinks anyways, there is no need to submit to search engines anymore as search engines will find your site through backlinks

    As others have said, you should try to build back links. However in the meantime you should submit XML Sitemaps to Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.
