tini.us - create tini urls

I recently began working on my next (short) project: http://tini.us/.

    It's a url shortener.

What do you think of it? Good design? Does it work?

I still need to make it unique somehow. I have a pretty good idea of what I am going to do. :)

Your design is a way better than the URL shortener service that I had just reviewed.

Instead of just white font for the logo, why not you design a nice color logo for it. Make it more like Web 2.0 logo design because it fit well with the design now. You can also add a favicon to your site.

I have tested the script and it work. But I love to see if you have an option for people to add their own keyword instead of just receive the randomly made word.

Overall, you're doing well and I wish you best of luck with it.

design is niece , minimistic nd simple!

but i think you need to work with adsense placement , they are looking intrusive (atleast to me)
i ll suggest not to put adsense above search box
also put the button "tini it" below the Search box and not along side to the search box , that way you can get More cliks on ads also

Nice color scheme. Its working fine. Just change the font size and style. Add some more graphics effects on the title.

Excellent domain and adsense position .
There should be more links to explain the short links,
eg, "how long will it last", "can it be modified or not" ,"are there any stastic for the clicks".

    Thanks for the feedback everyone!

So - about the ad placement - should I remove the ad about the URL box? One person said the placement was good and one person said to remove that ad.

Alright, I did some more work on it.

You can now create a 'super tini', which will allow people to post reviews or feedback on the link.

This is great if you are posting a link everywhere (twitter, irc, forums, etc) and you don't want to have to go back and view all of the replies.

    Any thoughts?

Very cool, better than a lot of other places. I still think you need to make it unique like you said.

I started to do that. As I said earlier, you can know create a 'super tini' which allows reviews. I'm still working on it though, it's not perfect.

Combining a URL shortener with a reviews idea is pretty clever. You are betting that the URL's people share with each other is interesting stuff that other people might also want to see. That whole concept needs to be explained better - the verbiage about reviews and feedback is a little confusing - and you need to figure out how to share URL's that have been tinied (and got good reviews) with people who come to your site. Then you have a combination of tinyurl.com and digg/stumbleupon in the making, it could become big.
