    hi guys

I noticed around Feb 9th - many of my sites dropped in the SERPS - like BIG TIME onto the 60+ serp page now from being on the 1st page.

    Anyone else notice this?

I'm actually doing a lot better for some technology websites I have going. What niche are your websites?

Something certainly seems to be going on but I haven't been able to pin down exactly what it is yet.

My main site took a dive in the middle of Jan. and pops back in for 3-4 days at a time then disappears again for a week or two. Completely white hat site thats been around for 8 years now.

I still rank high for some terms and even still have site links when doing some searches. Unfortunately, a couple of the search terms and pages that draw in most of my traffic have completely disappeared.

well, google discounts many directories and many backlinks, so it could affect ur SERPs as well..

build more content without keyword spamming.. maybe it will get u back..

Can you list you link building methods? If you think you are not doing anything outside white hat then your site probably affected with algorithm changes.

It might just be that SERPs updated or something similar. Everything couldn't have gone down, some of them should have gone up too :)

Haha! I was just thinking that - or wondering if I was going to see half a page of blank space in google results as everything had dropped in serps :)

well.. no change to my sites.. they are getting around the same traffic like before..
Some sites go up and some sites go down.... just concentrate on posting quality content.. we can't to nothing about the SERP's.

I had a similar drop last week which lasted around 5 days. They are just about back to normal now though.

My traffic dropped way down in mid to late Jan but the SERPs performance for some homepage keywords improved dramatically and the site picked up sitelinks. I'm still trying to figure out what changed.

Exact same thing happend to one of my majoy site, I don't really know why so I am updating my sites as I've been, but no change. Also, google bots hadn't been crawled my sites for about 10 days..

I dont' really do anything against google rules but I thought maybe goole saw my sites as penalty site, so I sent message through google web tools. (for reconsideration of my site, even not..).
The next day, google bot came and crawled, then the rank went up a bit.

But since then, it's has stopped again. no google bot crawling nothing. That was 16th.
I'm trying to update whole home page and see if this will help or not, but again, I'm kind of reluctunt to do so, since you never know!!

Please keep posting whatever you find out something? It will help me a big deel!
    Thank you!
