    Hello
I have a few new websites and blogs and i want to know what u r using for promoting your websites.
I mean how u get links - directory submission is one of the way. Can you give me information which programs u r using and are they really work ?

I prefer to use free software... but tell me all you know :)

digiXMAS Directory Submitter in Truck Mode is the best way to submit to directories. Another browser based submission tool (for Firefox only) is Form Filler but I prefer digiXMAS Directory Submitter because it's easier to keep track on directories you have already submitted to. These tools are quite free :)

Sure, why I should recommend it otherwise?
I use my own directory list though (you will find explanation of what Truck Mode is on their site).
You won't get traffic from directories but your site will rank higher in Google and this will bring you targeted traffic.

    yes indeed
you can try the free version, but it's the lower PR directories
I think it's 15$ to submit to 1500 directories, and within 2 weeks of submitting to all those, you'll start to see the backlinks in yahoo and google webmaster tools.
It all depends on when they directory owners approve the link, but it's a great tool. I use it on every site I own.
The latest site I started submitting is www.tweetqa.com
you should be able to see some of the backlinks in yahoo "linkdomain:tweetqa.com"
that was 3 weeks ago, I made it about 2/3rds down the list.

    I'm sorry I can't share it. It's not even for sale :)
It takes some time to build a decent directory list but it will pay back.

I have digiXMas. (Truck mode). But it does not show the PR of any of the directories. I assume they are all 0?

I have the free version, by the way.

Thanks and greetings from warm and cheerful Ohio.

Automated tools are only as good as the information you feed them and the sites they post too.

Target the most popular of the Directories and then take time to write varied unique site descriptions around a variety of related keyword phrases.

Expect a boost from Search Engines in Organic rank if you do it correctly, but don't expect much traffic to come from the small directories that are hardly used.

Think about it - when was the last time you used a directory to find anything? Search is what is used.

Have you ever think about cheap but great service offer by DP members ?

Why don't outsource your submission to them ?

Auto submission software is good but according to SEO purpose search engine can catch it and consider it as a spam.

I used to use allsubmitter. It costs around $150 and gives you chance to submit to almost any website. It also support autoamitc submission but first you have to teach the submitter how to deal with the particular site. That means first time you submit something you must do it manually (=semi-automatically), the next time (with 80-90% probability) you can do it automatically.
