I just donated my hair to locks of love. I had about 10 inches to send off. I have done this twice now and I feel so good about it. Anyone else ever done this?
One of my friends did this about a year ago (back when I had short hair). I have a coupon for a free haircut at some place called SportCuts, and was thinking about doing this when I decide to get a haircut next. It's not really an inconvenience for me, and I can see how it could make all the difference in the world to someone suffering from cancer. There's really no reason not to do it.
I have never done it before...I actually have short hair and am always getting hair extensions put in so I guess you could say that I need the hair . I have a cousin who did it once.
I know that hair can be donated in some of the temples of South India and religious people do this as a duty regularly...
Good for you! That is such a wonderful and thoughtful gift. For some people, losing their hair during cancer treatments is really hard on them, so through people like this (donating hair) they can get a nice real-hair wig until their own grows back. It's very common in North America.
My sister donated her hair about 10 years ago to the locks of love. I am glad to hear it is still going strong. A very thoughtful gesture!
I'll do if this organization been develop at my country also. Currently we don't have any organization like this yet.
