GENERAL INFORMATION

The English Premier League goes by many names, including the Barclays English Premier League, the Barclays Premiership and even just The Premiership.
Regarded as the most popular and richest soccer league in the world, the English Premier League was established in 1992 after breaking away from the traditional Football League. Now in its sixteenth season, the Premier League is capable of attracting the best soccer players from around the world and its top teams compete regularly in the latter stages of Europe's premier soccer tournament, the UEFA Champions League.

STRUCTURE

The Premier League consists of twenty soccer clubs from all regions across England. They play a thirty-eight match season that begins in August each year and is concluded the following May. All teams compete home and away against the other teams twice.

At the completion of the season, the bottom three teams are demoted to the football league and replaced by the three best teams in that league the following season. The winners of the Premier League are declared the champions and are eligible to play in following season's UEFA Champions League, along with the next top three teams.

FOREX TRADING.
The foreign exchange market is commonly referred to as the Forex; this is a market where different world currencies are transacted.

Since there is global trade, where goods and services are sold, the required payment is on non domestic currency because they are in foreign basis. For example when the Germans are buying something from America, then probably the terms of agreement states that the Germans should pay the Americans in dollars, this means that the German currency; Euros will be converted to the equivalent in the dollar currency. In this transaction, there must be a certain exchange rate between the dollar and the Euros; this exchange rate was initially introduced in 1979, the attempt to maintain this was almost phased out when super economic countries wanted to devaluate weak currencies. In real sense the Forex market is the biggest market in the world on the basis of the number of transactions per day.

Distinction of the Forex Market.
There is a distinction between the Forex market and also the other stock markets. There is some structural difference that distinguishes Forex markets. The below mentioned are the distinguishing factors.

No Exchange- there is no stock markets like the NYSE that deals with Forex, the trading in Forex are usually done primarily over the counter and this is through the spot market. On a greater scale, the Forex transactions are done in inter bank markets; this means that banks transacting on behalf of their clients or customers. This will usually trouble stock markets as there is no real volume information that can be attained; also there is no central location for the prices.

Transaction Processing- in a stock market a certain order is submitted to a broker who will facilitate the deal, this is usually over the counter or through an exchange. In Forex trading by an individual, most of the transaction is done directly with the dealer or broker that means that the dealer takes the other side; this however is not the case usually but is the best approach.

Time Frame- this is a factor that will differentiate the Forex from the stock market, in that the Forex market is a 24 hours operating market while in the stock market there is the closing of the day. Also there are transactions during the weekends which is in contrast to the stock market.

Transaction Costs-the lack of an exchange and also the direct trade with the trader has created a difference between the Forex and Stock market, the latter allowing the dealer or broker to charge a commission for any transaction.

Intervention-There is no intervention in the Forex trade as it is in the stock where the Federal Reserve and the central banker are actively involved. In stocks there is selling and buying of securities to influence the rates, this is not so with the Forex markets.
Investors are still in the business although they have been faced with a market that has many volatile currency situations. As at of now the Forex market is overshadowing other markets. It is approximated that the market transacts over 3, 000 billion dollars, this is far more than all the other markets combined.
