My hosting offers both wordpress and b2evolution. The main blog application I have seen here is wordpress. I like what I see with b2evolution but I am a newbie at blogging. Can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 and opinion on which is preferred. Thanks, Denise
I'm going to be honest and say I have never used b2evolution before. I can also tell you that it looks exactly the same as wordpress, so much that they copied the configuration of their themes and their layouts. My belief is that wordpress is much more accessible, there are hundreds of thousands of people using it, and you will never fail at finding good themes for it. Wordpress just does so many things, I find it difficult to understand why anyone would ever want to use b2evolution or any other platform for that matter. I recommend you study wordpress and become a master at it, once you have done that you can start learning about other platforms with a high level of expectations. Anyway, shoot me a PM if you need help. I'm also in sunny south florida, I'm always up for meeting new partners. Cheers! Dan
I think WP good Choose one, Caused that engine is more reliable, easy to Use, More Plugins, SEO friendly and many more
I would also recommend WordPress its easy to use, seo friendly, many plugins available for any customisation you require and very popular as well. Kind Regards
As I know most people preffer Wordpress. But you can try the demo of both blogging system because it is possible you will find some features in one of the which will useful for you and are not offered by the second one. We also have both of these scripts in our installed and as I see over 70% of our clients who used the installer to set up weblog use Wordpress.
b2evolution is still in its starting stage, it will take years to come close to wordpress. for now i would recommend you to go for wordpress, it would be easy and benefits are too much.
I uninstalled b2evolution and installed wordpress. Thanks you everyone for your help with this. Now to start the learning process. But it seems easy enough. Denise
Wordpress for me too. It's easier to use, its been around longer and it seems to be the industry standard for webmasters worldwide. It has a lot more add ons, and people are always developing new things for wordpress. Evolution of course could well catch up and maybe even overtake in the future but for now, its word press for me all the way.
Wordpress is easier to use And you can do more with it. Plus there are thousands of plugins and themes to go with it.
