So, after 33 years of smoking I finally quit!
I started at 13 years old, then it was a cool thing to do!

I had my last cigarette 31/12/2008
I have done it the hard way, no patches, no gum......just "cold turkey"

For the non smokers here i hear you say.....whats the big deal?
For the long term smokers here I guess you realise what I have, and am still going through.
Its not easy, I hope now I am through the worst, its been damn hard I have to say.
crikey, its stupid how one small thing can totally rule your life!

    Anyhow....week 7...and doin ok.
Glad I made the effort, life is improving daily now.

    YUP...Lookin for praise!........LOL:D

    C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S :)

It's really hard and tbh nobody can appreciate what you've gone through day-in-day-out ... it's hard.

I did 6 months and started again but, wish I'd not. Just be careful the urge has a knack of finding you when you least expect it.

You deserve a BIG cream cake ;)

I had smoked for a few years and one day, i just threw my half smoke pack in the trash. I did it because I knew I wanted to. I also quit drinking alcohol completely. Its been over a year now. I know how it is. Congrats!!!

    Great job!

I know that stuff isn't easy to just stop let alone "cold turkey"

What made you decide that year 33 was the last year you were going to do it?

Had you tried previously and didn't follow through?

    Anyway
    Great job again,
    Alex

Hey man, I made something like you. First in November I stopped the cigarettes, and now in January I totally finish with the alcohol. Now I feel much better, and the most important thing is that I feel happy!
    Congratulations to us :D

Congratulations :D! I have smoked on and off for about 35 years (yikes) and have quit before for anywhere from 3 mos. to 1 year. It is always stress that gets me back to smoking. I hope you stick with it!
