Blog pinging services, good for article site?

    I have a site that I post 2-4 2,000 word articles on each week.

    I do the typical stuff, social bookmarking, blog commenting, etc for each article. But it got me thinking about sites like http://www.pingomatic.com
    and http://www.autopinger.com/

    I realize that I would need an RSS feed that includes all of my articles, for their service to read.

    How would I do this? I am used to hand-crafting XML, but I have no idea what format it should be in.

    Any advice?

    You can either ping with RSS, which would usually be a different service than Pingomatic or the like, but you can automatically ping your blog on a regular basis with a tool like BlogBuzzer

    if you are using wordpress you don't have to ping it as that pings itself at every post submission
