There are many influential bloggers that I look up to and want to one day have the same level of success as they have achieved. I strive to accomplish some of the amazing feats these bloggers have done and I thought I would share with you my Top 8 list. I think it is important to have people to look up to so you know the direction you want to go and so that you don’t stop until you make it there. If you have a dream I think you should go after it until you are successful at it. So without further ado here are my Top 8 Most Influential Bloggers (note - these are in no particular order):

    * Johnchow.com - He is one of the first blogs I started reading and one of the reasons why I decided to get into the business myself. He is very successful at what he does and I strive to have some similar success. He is also local to where I live which is interesting. I actually when to school with a good friend of his (very small world). I definitely recommend that you check out his blog because he has a lot of great things he talks about and he will point you in the right direction to get your blogging career started.
    * Johntp.com - This is a great blog for lots of blog tips and ways on how to make money. It looks like Johntp hasn’t updated his site since Aug 14, 08 but I still read his blog. It has tons of content on it and is a very highly ranked site. If you are wanting to learn more about making money online and blogging I recommend you check out his blog as well.
    * Ez-onlinemoney.com/blog - This blog is run by Josh Spaulding and was recommended to me by my brother. The first article I read on his blog was about article submission techniques. It was very helpful and I have followed it for marketing articles of my own. Every once in awhile I come back to check out his blog and see what new things he has written about. He seems to know what he is talking about so I would recommend checking his blog out.
    * CarlOcab.com - This kid is truly inspirational. He started his blog at the age of 13 years old and is one of the most successful bloggers out there. He has tons of useful blog posts and he knows what he is talking about. I recommend you check his blog out because there is definitely a thing or two you will learn from his blog.
    * DailyBlogTips.com - This blog is run by Daniel Scocco. His blog as the URL indicates is about blog tips. He has many very useful blog posts that are very popular such as 101 Blog Tips I learned in 2006 that can help even the most experienced bloggers learn something new. I recommend you check it out and learn something new so you can improve your blog as well.
    * QuickOnlineTips.com - The one post that drawed me to this website was the blog post 50 Best WordPress Plugins for Power Blogging. It was very helpful because it showed me a bunch of plugins I wasn’t using with Wordpress that I really should have because it makes my blog a much better blog. I recommend if you are wanting some new plugins to check it out and browse around the blog while you are there.
    * Problogger.net - This blog is run by Darren Rowse. It is a great blog about blogging tips and it has a ton of useful information. It you want to learn more about blogging and get a bunch of tips on how to improve your blog I recommend you check out his blog and learn all you can from it!
    * Shoemoney.com - Another great blogger out there that is run by Jeremy Schoemaker. I heard about ShoeMoney when I was visiting JohnChow.com blog. He mentioned his name so I had to check out his blog and I am glad I did because he is also one of the top bloggers out there. After reading his blog he has become a very influential to myself because he is one of the few people out there who has made tons of money with Google Adsense. One picture on his blog shows him with a Google check where he has earned $132,994.97 in 2005. This picture is one of my motivating factors to keep my blog going and become successful.

So there you have it. The Top 8 Most Influential Bloggers that I look up to and strive to become as successful as. You to should have goals and people you look up to because it helps keep you motivated. Anything is possible if you stick your mind to it. You just need to keep at it and the sky will be the limit!

I think problogger is th best, just finished reading his book. If Johntp hasn't updated his site in 8 months how is that an inspiration. I would have selected someone who is still in the game...

problogger is on top, but I find the quality dipping slowly. I guess it's impossible to be new, creative and insightful forever. Some posts feel more and more like a rehash of something he said previously. I can also sense more and more sales pitches.

Or is it just me getting better at the game?

Yup problogger is pretty awesome! As for Johntp. I know his website hasn't been updated in a few months but still what he has done in the past has inspired me and so I have put him on my list. His blog in the past was pretty awesome and just because he hasn't updated the site lately doesn't mean his work was useless before.

See my note above about Johntp. As for John Chow. I know he writes way too much about food and drinks and things like that but he also has some quality content in his blog. If you take a look there are lots of good nuggets of content that is useful in his blog as well.

Maybe he is learning how to make more money now? Can you blame him for trying this? Everyone would be doing the same thing if they were in his position.

When you say "The Top Influential Bloggers" , it's interesting that you listed those that are only influential to webmasters who are trying to make money...there are a lot of bloggers out there in the world that have a mass amount of influence in the U.S. and around the world and make more, and have more readers than the ones that you have listed, but then again this is a webmasters forum.

It is good to step outside and look at how others who are successful, even though they may not write about webmaster stuff.

I do not question their capabilites, but I suppose you only choose the ones who have clean and neat-looking themes. Have you searched for the ugly ones, but are really very influential in terms of real contents?

Have you heard of Grizzly's How to Make Money Online for Beginners? If not, Google make money online or making money online and you can see how he influence a lot of bloggers using a blogspot blog...

His blog is always on the top of Google though.

I know alot of people hate John Chow but he has a lot of people who set up their blogs to be just like him.

Last night he was on Twitter and spent an hour showing people pictures of a house is he buying and people were lapping it up.

There seems to be a lot of that. Incredible how many bloggers set up to emulate someone else, instead of making their own way, and using their own original ideas.

Good for him that he can drag the "puppy dogs" around by the nose like that...it's kind of like high school where the kids with the clothes and the cars were popular. People like hanging around success, even if it's not theirs, but you cannot be successful like that...it doesn't "rub off" on you.

I do get ideas from other blogs and sites, but I can't imagine copying a blog like some do around here. It just seems like such a waste of time and effort, but the again, not everyone has ideas of their own.

John Chow is all hype. All clouds without rain. The value of his post is diluted with his pushing of money-related links.

These our MY top influential bloggers. They inspire me to do great things. I know their work does not encompass everything but I find what they write about to be interesting and useful to myself and therefore I put them on my list. I was talking about influential in how to make a blog and how to make money. I am not talking about how they influenced the world because they have done nothing like that.

    Your welcome!

As I mentioned in the post they are in no particular order. They are randomly placed on the list.

Problogger and DailyBlogtips are awesome places to learn. JohnChow.com lately hasn't been very useful at all but his old stuff is great. Now he just writes about food and how much money he makes. Most of it is garbage. So just make sure you look around.

The only thing I hate about John Chow is that I get hungry every time I read his posts.

    Carl Ocab = My idol.
