I want a site where my content ordering customers can actually just imput their orders, go through the payment process, and an order spits out on my end.

Then I can mark each article done, pull up a customer and check on their order, and invoice them.

Later on, I can use information collected for mailers etc.

    Any simple solutions here?

For a turn key solution I would check out Zencart.

Might be exactly what you want and little to no coding on your part.

I have tried Zencart in the past, I don't remember why they got added to the reject pile, but I shall look into them again :).

    Hello LadyHoldem,

I had developed a website similar to your requirements for one of my client but he back off the project and its dying its own dead. If you are interested in buying the script let me know or even I am open to partnering on this project.

PM me if you are interested.

    Regards,
    Gonzo

Try Jommla + Virtuemart combo. Requires a bit of fiddling but not too much. Each to use templates for the site and a lot of support forum topics around.

Just set one up for a client two weeks ago. Seems to be working fine.
