Blog vs Website

Maybe the blog, BUT if you talk about a high optimized webpage with tons of great content, then i must choose the webpage.

 

Blogs can be much more effective than general web pages
Some webpages ( or what appear to be webs ) may actually be a blog creation
Blogs are primarily text - which the search engines gobble up
Blogs are laid out well for search engines to navigate
Blogs ping after submissions are posted
There is also no reason that a webpage can not have a blog as part of its structure as well

 

I have to say blog, because essentially blogs are more easily found in the search engines and that's an ability that normal websites don't have from the start, however, it comes at an expense and you must post frequently. Like the rest, its all about multitasking on posting and promoting, but in the long run, websites are the better way to go, if you have a guaranteed audience, in my opinion.

 

certainly blogs work much better in terms of google ranking..

 

It depends on how well you do the seo

Boundary between blogs and websites are very smooth and even blury - it's difficult to distinguish one from another sometimes.

Well, a new Worpress blog is (well)indexed in one day. In the other hand, websites can take several weeks, even months.

Blog is faster to get indexed in search engine, but to rank higher, it depends on relevant backlinks and SEO.

 

everyone is talking about blogs are better for search engine ranking but don't forget that you need to do that work whether its a blog or a website. i sure everyone realize how google has been behaving now a days. i do blogs. But i acheive better rankings working on websites by doing the same work i do on blogs. ping after post. ping after page added. their are couple of seo techniques that will put the website on the top fast

 

I prefer websites myself. Its easy to get indexed, just drop some links on social bookmark sites.

Blogs find favor with search engines but you have to do hard work by constantly updating it. Websites are easy to handle (and blogs on WP theme) and require less frequent update to be in good books with google.
