Hi is linkedIn any good for networking http://www.linkedin.com/pub/11/68b/825 says it has 30 million professionals.
LinkedIn is best used for promoting your best face as a professional. Many have used it for getting jobs and also to network with those that may be out of touch from usual client base. Recommendations from other users are deemed credible since the only way to get them is to have a real-world relationship and also know their personal info, like work email addresses. Not given out as freely as say a "gmail", yahoo, or other free service. My linkedin profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/tonygreene
LinkedIn is probably the most credible professional social networking site out there. It's more about connecting for business purposes than posting endless amounts of pictures or updates as to what you're up to.
I use it to keep in touch with business contacts. Just about everybody is on there and if they move on to a new job I still know how to find them.
I love linkedin. this is the only social networking tool i use. I think all the others are a waste of time.
Yes it a good platform to build up your networking. I have meet few people at there and now they become my client already.
I'll echo the sentiment of a few others: LinkedIn is my top-tier choice of social network for professional relationships. I keep it serious there, and let Twitter and FaceBook be more fun. --Ben
sI view Social networks as somewhat age segregated. If you want to have some distracting background on a page with several thousand pictures of you and your best friends (of the moment) then myspace.com is for you. If you are a little older Facebook is for you and it will evolve in usefulness over time. If you want to stay connected with old classmates, friends, and collegues, Linkedin is great. I have found it great for looking for old contacts, jobs, and it's a good place to post a job.
It has a good review in an popular SEO book I have. I'd say it's a good idea. How can 30 million professionals be wrong?
LinkedIn is where the grown-ups go to social network Everyone who is over 20 on this forum SHOULD have a profile.. If you are at DP for marketing, you need to be on LinkedIn as well..
I think it is good. I am also a member there, but i do not look in there reguarly 'cause i do not have the time...
You know what this thread got me thinking that I should be doing more on Linkedin. But still favor facebook.
I really like linkedin, I got going with it recently and added quite a large number of people to my network. I've been inactive the last few weeks, need to get going with it again. It's a great system
