    Hiya

Tried using the auto upgrade on wordpress 2.7 and I noticed it caused high load on my server 2.95, usually it's between 0.50 and 0.20 has anyone else had this issue when using the auto upgrade feature? the load has settled back down again.

Do you mean CPU load was only "high" during upgrade?

Yeah i think so and immediately after, its funny how it was high so soon after the upgrade, i logged into root straight after then after a few mins it settled back to its usual load, its at 0.28ish just now.

Are you on a shared account or reseller account? you wouldn't necessarily see the server load if so.

No issues like that. I have had an occasion where the auto-upgrade just did not work and I had to do it manually (just this week), but that's about it.

I am using a VPS account and I didn't experience like this. Did you ask your host about it? The upgrade should be completed smoothly in seconds.

Yeah it's a VPS im on too, RAM is not a problem at all for me incedently, so we can safely rule that out. Perhaps there was some other sort of update going on at the same time on the server and it just seemed a coincidence, i'll have a nose at the logs and see what they say.
