phpLD 3.4 was released!

Don't know if you guys noticed, but on 10th of February, phpLD 3.4 was launched.

Require Email Confirmation

When registration is not required to submit a link, there is now an option to Require Email Confirmation (can be used when registration is required too). After a user submits a link, they will receive an email where they have to click the link to confirm the submission. There is also a function that checks for unconfirmed links, and removes them after X days. Note, a link that has received a payment will never be deleted, except manually by the admin.

Finally an improvement in spam submissions! If they are using automated process to spam you then those days are over....

Article Payments

Now the admin can enable this feature and receive payments for articlesjust as is currently done for links.

Good that will stop those whom submit links in wrong submission section hoping for mistaken approval...

Conclusion

Well it looks like this phpld 3.4 will be very nice to have compared to the others fom before...nice work phpld team

Wow...good news for directory owners, although its a new headache for me as I figure out how to upgrade my heavily-modded version 3.2/3.3 directories to 3.4

 

well, great news and more features, I like the sorting category thing.

but will wait for a while to update my directories.

I will definitely have to upgrade if for no other reason than this feature. This feature has been too long overdue.

 

I must upgrade my directories soon, i said that last time, but will get round to doing it soon.

 

Some good new features there, especially the email confirmation. Thanks for the heads-up hyper.

some positives, some disappointments!
i do like these features:
- Require Email Confirmation
- Delete As Spam
- Switch from the FCK Editor to the MCE Editor
- Category Sorting in Admin

but am also dissapointed due to a feature that i was told would come out in 3.4, was installable plugins/ mods!
... something like wordpress plugins or other softwares!

but on the whole a good release, will try it out and add more here....

I wanted to see a link renewal MOD in this release...& maybe some fewer SMARTY validation errors...

 

I accidentally came across the news on their site yesterday. But they said we have to wait for a couple of weeks to upgrade:

I was relieved that they have added Super Editor and Editor to the upgrade. Now I don't have to spend money to get that feature incorporated. It all sounds good!

 

That is real good news about the article payments.

Hopefully this will make submitters think twice about submitting the same article (duplicate contetn) in many directories time and time again.

-Article Payments
-Less Attention to Reciprocal Links

 

I saw yesterday that v3.4 was released on phplinkdirectory site, i will soon buy a license to see how it works.
