Any Harry Potter fan here?
Yesterday I saw a news in newspaper that in J.K.Rowling's next book,she is going to end harry potter.This she is doing because of continuous demand by readers about next book.Where can I find official news about this?I searched http://www.jkrowling.com/ in roumers section .But there was nothing.Was this real news or roumer?can any harry potter fan will let me know?

 

It was on the news here, one of the major characters, hinted at Harry, will die and the series will end. Apparently she wrote the final chapter before she wrote the first book.

 

i saw the news story the other day. she said that 2 characters die in the last book, but harry was not one of them. I never read the books, and was only forced to see the first movie by my ex-gf, so I don't really care either way.

 

Yeah the seventh book is the last in the series, thats the end of Harry potter books BUT if you mean kill Harry off, dont worry JK isn't crazy, she wont tell us.....she has to sell her books, she'll make us wait and guess another year....

What better way to create some buzz and sell even more books.

 

If you guys remember, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed Sherlock Holmes in one of his books.But later because of public pressure he had to give him new life in his next book.This may happen with Harry Potter.

 

She has said many times she isn't writing another Harry Potter book after book 7, I dont think she cares about hate mails or anything..people would still buy her book, people will still read any other book she writes.....not saying she should kill him off but....

 

I don't think she'll write anymore either, but you never know. IF she does kill off Harry and IF she then decides to write another book she can bring him back no problem; It's magic.

 

aptillu, the next, 7th book, will indeed be the final Harry Potter book. This has nothing to do with any kind of market response, however. The HP series was always planned to span seven books (seven is the most magical number, after all ).

Regarding whether Harry will die in the last novel: Rowling has always kept this a guarded secret and would never tell us, or even hint. The article others have mentioned says, "Rowling added that she has never been tempted to kill him off before the final book because she had always planned seven." I admit that this statement seems to imply that Harry will die; however, I am suspicious that the other Rowling comments are directly quoted, and this one is merely paraphrased. I will attempt to find the original transcript for this interview, but for now I'm inclined to believe that Rowling did not reveal any such thing.

 

yeah...JKR always says something like that to get readers more hooked, like the last time..i forget the exact wordings but...oh well, i gues i can wait till the book. (and mind you, ill be reading the last page first LOL...i always tend to do that...like with book 6, I tried so hard and couldnt help myself after 3 chapters or so...)

I highly doubt she'll write a book 8......but we can hope so lol

 

They say the final book (Harry Potter 7) will be released next year ( 7-7-07).
2 major characters will die....i have no idea who will it be.

It will be very sasd to see when an important character form the story dies, the books are doing pretty well , but theyy were transformed to movie, especially the 4th one i didn't like it much

My oppinion: She'll have to kill off Harry. If she doesn't, millions of people will ask for a sequal, the publishers will cotten on to the fact taht they could make millions and demand JKR to write one.

 

My simple view on this
If she kills Harry she kills Voldy too
These are the two characters most likely to die,accoring to people.
If both do,then there will be no suspense in the book. I mean JKR must have somethign else up her sleeve.

 

have all the books, the last book is probably gonna be gay, harry is gonna look for the rest of the clue shits while not going to school with ron and hermione and they kill voldemart and some other people will die and boom, the end of the harry potter fantasy lol. well that is just my guess. but we will see
