I agree. I'm in a similar situation. I hope no designer takes this the wrong way but we all have our favorites and I was trying to stay up a little longer hoping that perhaps one of the big guns (xpressions, anidesign, watari, victoriann, crowquill, nightvision, neilparnham etc) may submit an entry in this contest.

One thing I want to make clear: this contest will definitely have a winner and a second place getter.

Now I'm off to sleep and I hope none of the big guns here at dp feel offended if I didn't mention their name on my list

@b4db0y: sorry but still not what I am after. I need something that is more professional in the sense that it can satisfy more age groups and not just the younger age group and I feel your design is targeted more towards a younger age group.

sikka: thanks for the entry but it's a little too plain and I am looking for something a little more original for the thumbs up icon.

 

I don't get the age group thing. Can you show me an example of something that you'd like. Meaning that attracts both the age groups

No problem. Have a look at post #21 in this thread. Although I am not fully sold on the idea it looks marketable to any age group (with some slight alterations). The thumbs up she used in post #21 is a simple one.

What I am trying to say is yours while creative and unique looks a little funky, and I need something a little more corporate. Sorry if I am confusing you but this is the best I can explain it.

@manuji: thanks but it looks too cartoony. By saying this I don't mind some cartoony touches but yours seems to remind me in a strage way of old time style cartoons. Even reminds me a little of Mickey Mouse (perhaps because of the black arms). I need something a little more modern looking.

badboy: I like it. It's unique, it's creative but sorry to drive you crazy: I still think it's geared towards a younger market. It seems a touch too funky, too teenagery for me. Again it looks good but just not suitable.

ori: thanks for the entrybut just a touch too plain. I need something a little more unique and original

renderwork: thanks for the submission. I think so far I like yours the best. It's stylish, it's creative and it's also in red. Let's see what else comes in because once I choose the finalists I may ask for one or two small alterations, but definitely looking good.

rhoula: thanks for the entry but not what I am looking for. I like the thumbs up but it would need to be more stylised somehow because now it just looks a bit like clipart. Also the font could be a little more professional/corporate looking.
