    That's because punjabi beats make everyone dance. There are lot many punjabi songs which are better than this one and they are hugely popular in India. One is "Bulla ki jana" by Rabbi Shergil.

    Ya every 6th person in this world is an Indian, but no. of people who use internet in India regularly are less as compared to other large countries. So, I think the song should be given the credit for its popularity.
