What directly affects your Page Rank? I know CONTENT and BACKLINKS do, but what else? Or is that all that affects it? Any help is much appreciated :).

Interesting...how do you really build high quality backlinks besides just buying them?

PR automatically increase if your page is most important for user.

You need more traffic to become a important site for the user.

You have to increase the interesting volume of the content in your site to drive the traffic.

Well I do know that my stuff is high quality, I guess what I'll have to do is really buckle down and spend time posting on related forums and work on posting comments in related blogs......That is probably a good way to start. I should also ask around work.....I do telemarketing for one of the major SEO companies in the USA. So they are probably a good resource if I can stop one of the web techs long enough to get into SEO....

I don't agree with you. If your website's content is valuable enough for you visitor then your PR will increase. I don't think backlinks are deciding factor for PR. I have experienced it. I launched my website with valuable content and only on-page SEO done. No off-page SEO. and after 3 months the PR of the website increased from 0 to 3.

The quality of your backlinks affects the PR a lot and not the content.

Yes, but content may also indirectly help increase your PR. If your site contains some quality and interesting content, and other sites found it as a useful resources to their site, they will naturally link with your site. And if your link is placed in a higher PR and the link provided is dofollow, your site's PR will also increase.
