I am new to blogs and I set up one today at blogspot. http://empowerism-blog.blogspot.com. Does blos help in S.E traffic? I mean, what is the advantage of using a blog that just a nomal website?
I guess it depends on what you intend to do with your blog, how you promote it, and how much traffic/readership it gets. If you get a big following and have a lot of traffic, I suppose any adverts, adsense, or other links out of the site will be hit from time to time. Other than that think of it as just part of the bigger picture. Another suplimental content generator. Good luck!
My main intention is to provide my empowerism downline members with support and resources that will help them to succeed. This way, I would be more successiful in empowerism as one of my main income earner. Maybe, since I will be talking about only one topic in this blog, I would rank high in search engines for that particular search. Any Input?
I started a blog few weeks ago targeting empowerism as the main keyword. I have realized that is ranks in the first page in google if you search empowerism with english results only. Seems blogs are nice for SE traffic if targeted. see http://empowerism-blog.blogspot.com Any input here?
it sure sounds like a multi-leve marketing program... this empowerism thing... but coming back to the topic, to me, blogs are just like any other sites that are powered by some type of content management script - it's just that blogs contain your views/journals of what's going on around you...
Haha - that's pretty funny david... I wonder how long it will take before the pages on that start to get hit by the G Dup content filter (As the posts are short)...
funny? I pour out my soul and you call it funny?!?!? meh, IDK. I type at 70-90 wpm. G can kick my blog in the ditch.
This is the most funniest blog I ever read... i m scratching my arm, staring at wall... lol.. man you are awesome...
Off Topic: the Brumm bruuumm must be associated with whales or something... AS is offering kayaking trips with orcas and other wahle related sites.. Good one.. On Topic: forgot what this was about, must have been DS's fault.
I've taken a subtle approach with my blog, and made it entertaining at the same time.. Hoping that it'll generate some traffic and backlinks at the same time. I've seen a few other competitors start blogs and just overload it with links back to their sites, but I can't see how that's safe.. Seems like it's just waiting to get caught by Google. I dunno. http://clevernamegoeshere.blogspot.com is my foray into the blog world.
I'm finding blogs are great and actually have some very useful purposes. They are like a notebooks/journals that your dog can't eat, and so long as it's not running on your PC it takes effort to delete or spill coffee on and ruin. I run several, one for keeping records of changes I've made to websites, others for keeping records for my various hobbies, and my more public one just for goofing off, ranting about this or that, sprinkle in a link here and there to a buried page that the SE's should index for me, I think the whole idea is to keep it fresh and entertaining, even if it's only yourself that's being entertained. Even my wife and daughter have their own for...... whatever it is they do with them, kinda like a gal's purse, i'm afraid to look in there.
Cartman - that's a good approach. ANY time you overload keywords or links - whether its on a blog, a website, your own 'directory' or whatever... you run the risk of getting the ol' stinky boot. I've 'tested' things with a couple of junk sites and have found that it doesn't take long for you to be found out and in the end, it's just not worth it.
