Compelety revamped this website about encryption software a month ago. Please review this website. Everything is custom-made from scratch, logo, flash header etc. and put onto a CMS. I'd appreciate any comments and criticisms! Thank you for your help!
I'd like to comment your Testimonials. Do they really need to be on the first page? They ruin the design and i really don't believe that they will help you get more downloads.
Good commercial site, uncluttered with good navigation and colour scheme. The only problem is the use of fixed layout instead of fluid layout. Your site has content unlike alot of sites that try to sell products. The only comment I would like to make is that whilst you may have spent some monies, not really that much, but you have probably spent a fair bit of your time on it as well, it still looks like a standard, out of the box site. That need not necessarily be taken as a negative, I think the site has all the right ingredients to achieve your objectives. I agree with the previous poster comment about the testimonials. Maybe a horizontal layout of those may redress the lopsidedness of the site as it is.
Fixed-layout was a design decision we made at an early stage; weighing the pros and cons. The thinking was that for a commercial site, we ought to address the lowest common denominator. Also I didn't think a site on encryption software would ever be content-heavy or need lots of screen real estate. Any ideas in this area would be appreciated. I was thinking of including 'how it works' type of videos, and maybe a Flash game or so. These are excellent suggestions. Many thanks!
The site looks really cool and impressive. Two notes: 1. You have a beautiful header but the laptop and desktop images looks cheap. Try to work on it with better quality images and better designed "Encrypted" and "Secured" banners/seals. 2. The left side icons are kind of 80's. Try finding more modern ones.
I'm here on behalf on my company, and yes, the software is very much our own. We've been maintaining it for some time now. The web design was also done by another firm (not freelance). We're strongly into encrytion software since a number of years, but have started an affiliate program only recently.
It looks good. Plus neat and clean. Well done. Keep it up. One more thing, let the testimonials over there. It is in perfect position.
It includes the custom logo, which in itself is a major chunk of the cost. But I am happy with the price, no complaints there!
Nice Site, I agree with the testimonials not being on the home page and possibly clean up the links in the footer, maybe create columns so they flow nicer. Overall Very Nice design Good Job
Looks decent, agree with previous poster, clean up the footer a bit, but other than that it's looking fine.
Clean look, I think the two testimonials work as good reassurance. Needs a touch more accent color though to visually grab someone one. Not splashy, just to focus their eye.
