Can anyone give me a list of Y/G groups and school forums where I can promote my proxies??
I have submitted to many topsites and now the traffic will be dying out soon after few days. SO i need more places to promote my proxy.

Just search it on Google group with "proxy" keyword.
They are on top 3.

Blocking countries where spammers are in abundance [And benefits of not blocking are low] will help reduce such occurrences [Russia, Romania, China, Iran, Nigeria and such].

 

From what I "understand" the TOS state you cannot frame the ads. I think Google considers the section of the page we control as being framed. Not sure though how it would read technically. You could ask them i suppose.

Yes, popunders would be fine but in my last statement, I said popups.
Normal use go to a site, they can navigate the site right away.
With popups, user come to a site, then a popups shows and they need to click on "close" on that popups to see the page they originally came to see. That's interfering with site navigation.

Anyone know how to limit the CPU and Memory usage for the proxy sites? I have just received an email from my host saying that my sites are using too much CPU and Memory. How do I limit that from my end? Please help, thanks.

 

Which host you use? Hopefully not a free host.
Probably you have too many iran, china traffic and you are likely did not prevent hotlinking on your site.

I almost decide to buy the site not until I saw that the site is actually affiliate site for proxykey. Did you get any sales with your previous adfreeproxy?

 

I set it up as an affiliate in addition to adsense. You are free to change it however you want. Both AdFreeProxy and TeacherProxy have not been promoted as I wanted to let the new owner promote it from day one (more profit for the buyer). so there are no sales converted from these.

So far the ProxyKey affiliate program have only generated one trial in my case. Have you had any success with it?

 

limit/ban iran/china traffic.... and limit download limit and use hotlinking protection... i guess that will do!

Or else move to a NON-Shared host....buy a vps

 

there is a a option in glype in settings.php

you can get the ip range for both the countries here http://www.blockacountry.com/

and glype have an inbuilt feature to reject requests from certain IP's in admin panel

and the other way is to add the code you get from the above site to your .htaccess
