Google SERPs Totally Gone

Discussion in 'Google' started by jehzlau, Feb 7, 2009.

I was surprised just now that my website's pages are suddenly gone in Google.com. I also checked Yahoo and MSN, and found out that my pages are still there.

This only occurred today, February 7, 2009. Yesterday, I still have a hundred indexed pages, but now, It was gone to zero.

I hope this is just a glitch of some sort as I'm not buying links or doing anything against the TOS.

This site is just a subdomain. I checked the main domain and it's still on the SERPs, only the subdomain got de-indexed.

You can also check it to verify on your end:
    http://www.google.com/search?source...+Search&aq=-1&oq=site:jehzlau.dostscholars.co

I tried to check to site in google by typing
    site:jehzlau.dostscholars.com

    there were no results returned

I also checked the main domain by typing
    site:dostscholars.com

    there were 1,920 results returned

I found a similar problem regarding this here: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/3840791.htm

Can anyone share their thoughts about this? What do you think happened? Is the subdomain completely penalized and pulled out in the SERPs? or was this a temporary Google glitch?

Other advised to check my site in the Google Diagnostic Page, after checking it, it seems to be healthy:
    http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://jehzlau.dostscholars.com

I wonder what happened. I hope this is just a temporary glitch. :(

Nothing wrong with sub-domains, lots of sites use them including major corporations.

I can't tell what the issue is but you might have been red-flagged because of the "Busby SEO Challenge" It could have been seen as a Google Bomb

Just speculation, wish I could help more.

Thanks for this still. I also checked my site in google webmastertools and it appears to be not banned because it is indicated that the pages are still in the Google index. However if you check it, it doesn't appear. If you check the webmaster tools, it's there.

    Kinda weird. T___T

I guess that Google has banned my 10 domains too, in Google webmasters central, it also says that pages are included in the index...

Sometimes things get a little weird and move around.

Give it a little time then send them an email about it.

It really is very horrific to suddenly know that all your hard work has been put into dustbin by a search engine leader

Isn't it time google became little more responsive, at least for drastic steps such as this ! :(

The sub-domain definitely looks to have been banned, but I sincerely hope otherwise...

It also happened to me about 3 years ago, my website just disappeared from google. This sandbox is really a nightmare for webmasters. However, in december the domain was suddenly again included in google index (after 3 years!!!) and is showing in search results.
