No it runs off wordpress and you said it as unique - a lie.

 

It runs on wordpress but there's some pretty nice features that can't be found elsewhere - everyone can see that. That's just your opinion and it doesn't really matter since you haven't even purchased the script to state that.

 

Ok all I have to say is that you will never get very far scanning and lying to people.

The images are posters from movies and I believe there's no problem showing them because it's basically public information.

 

I have a couple of comments, but first let me say that the seller did not ask me to post here. I was looking around for additional websites and saw this post toward the top of the list.

I believe the site/script can be considered unique. The definition of unique in the dictionary is:

1: being the only one
2 a: being without a like or equal
b: distinctively characteristic


To cover number one above.. are there any other sites on the internet with this sellers scripts and functionality? I haven't seen any. To me, that makes it the only one like it.

For 2a... are there any other sites that have over 57,000 movies and automatically update every time a new movie comes out or a new trailer is released? I haven't seen any and I definitely have not seen one for sale on DP. To me that makes it without equal.

For 2b... do all or even most other movie sites look like this one? No. I've been surfing the internet for about 15 years and I've never seen one like it. So, to me, it has distinctive characteristics.

Yes, the site runs on Wordpress, but there are scripts within the site files that are in addition to Wordpress. Wordpress has no plugin that I've ever seen that gets movie names, descriptions, posters and trailers and brings them into a site.

If you are saying that because it uses Wordpress itself it is not unique, then any site that uses html is not unique either. Wordpress or html, or php or Frontpage is just the starting point. I don't think anyone would by this site if it was just the starting Wordpress theme and content you get when you first install Wordpress.

In my dealings with this seller, he has been excellent. He's answered all my questions, make custom changes I asked for and been available to help day and night. If you don't like the site or think it's not worth a bid, look somewhere else. Why waste your time coming back to this thread if your not interested. There's a PM feature included DP if you want to discuss definitions of words.

If this seller creates another site containing a topic I am looking for, I would not hesitate to purchase from him again.

 

well, I agree with the above statement , unique is the "only one"
so finally I dont agree at all with your opinion, even if the WP plugin "was" unique.
i.e. the blog for sale here and the blog in your signature both use the same theme and plugin so there is no more "uniques" there

what we can say is that the plugin is "custom coded" so not a commercial one, but not unique if the programmer starts reselling it.

IMO, the site looks very nice, and surely the plugin works great (personally I liked more the other type of site the seller has related to movies jm.org) but may be WP does the work in a better way so he switched to WP so good luck with your projects

I have already said it's not unique, it's custom coded. Yes, that website is my creation, but there's a couple of differences - one of which is that version of the script installed on the website isn't updated automatically and this one sold here is.

 

Does the guy to who you sold the previous website (WeeklyFlicks.com) know that you are reselling a site exactly like his ? Because you said on SitePoint's page that "5. Very informative and UNIQUE website design and content!" Now it's not that unique at all.
