I am looking to design some new wordpress plugins for the latest version of WP. Now, my question is, what Wordpress plugins do you want to see happening? Is there anything specific that would greatly increase the success of your blog and make your life easier? I've got open ears to anything.
wow this is great 1) selling pixel ads in sidebar so a widget will be fine. 2) custom css where we can change all the fonts, colors, which works on all themes. 3) something similar to http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255 but it will not be used to display ads but widgets. we can add panels which can be used to display widgets at top, bottom sidebars. 4) custom post templates where we can add backgrounds and different layouts for post. 5) only show thumbnails of recent, popular or recommended post in the widgets. 6) the wordpress search results shows links, ability to show thumbnail images like in excerpts too in it. 7) icons for tags and categories. 8) search uploaded images to the blog but not used anymore in the post so to delete them we need a plugin to tell which images is not used 9) search for all the extra tables created by plugins which are not in use now so we can delete them. 10) plugin to show a list of which internal pages has acquired pagerank.
A plugin which allows you to show when links on your blogroll were last updated. It would be good to use for only one blogroll category and not the whole blogroll list. Blogspot blogs seem to already have this feature (page element 'Blog List'). As far as I am aware no such plug in exists at the moment.
I'd love to see an option to make *any* link nofollow. Currently you have to manually make a link nofollow in the blog post. There are plugins that make all links nofollow or all links dofollow. There's a blogroll plugin that lets you choose which links to make dofollow or nofollow. But there is no handy little button (like adding the read more feature) to make a link nofollow. You did ask
I need a twitter plugin it will tweet your post every half or one hour. what post it will tweet. In the plugin panel it will create a list of all the post titles with checkmark box. just checkmark which post we want to tweet for that month. if 100 post are checkmarked it will tweet one post every half( or the time set) hour followed by the next. thank you.
are you sure there isn't one like this? there are thousands of twitter plugins, many of which are very close to this. I'm not about to go through the many pages of search results to look for something that does exactly this. How do I know it's not already made? Anyone got any more completely unique ideas?
I'd like a plugin which would allow me to configure a list of related links for each individual post. For each link, text and URL should be defined. A section with related links should probably follow a post content.
Hi! I'd like to see a plugin that will show visitors from search engines some posts related to the keyword they used in their searches. Thanks.
A plugin that would allow authors to not have to go to the confusing admin page to make a post. Something like an ajax inline posting..or opens a page that has a simple form on it to use.. Making it simpler to post an article
A plugin that rolls back changes made within Wordpress would be excellent, to undo automatically, on request any changes which have not gone according to plan, similar to a System Restore feature. It's infuriating when code drives you quite doolalley, you make a change which is going to do your blog good, it goes horribly wrong, you havn't a clue how to fix the problem and it would just be so much easier if there was a way to do a one-click roll back to the last known good configuation, so that one can carry on again as normal. As it is, I've just changed my permalinks from default to 'pretty links' and now my entire dashboard at WordPress Admin has disappeared and I've got no way of understanding or knowing what the problem is. It would be so much better to simply click a buttion which rolls it back to the last known good configuration so I can carry on blogging.
Finished with #4! The custom post background allows you to change the backgrounds of any post/page with CSS or using a image URL (you can have x/y/both repeats aswell). Hope you enjoy! Donations are always appreciated 2 The others are being worked on as well.
